Step 1: Create a Vision Board with the Best Planner for Life Coaches

When it comes to building the life of your dreams, the first step starts with clarity—and for me, that means creating a vision board. Whether you’re a life coach, a female entrepreneur, or simply someone who thrives on organization and goal-setting, this process will help you align your dreams with action. Here’s how I set up my vision board each year as part of my planner setup process.

Vision boards aren’t just a fun arts-and-crafts project—they’re a strategic tool to focus your energy and manifest the life and business you desire. As a life coach, you already understand the importance of visualization in achieving goals, and this process takes it to the next level. For female entrepreneurs, a vision board offers a tangible way to keep your big dreams front and center while managing the daily grind.

Creating a vision board within your planner not only inspires you but integrates your dreams directly into your planning system. This seamless connection ensures you’re reminded of your goals every single day.

Step 1: Start with a Pinterest Board

Before you even touch your planner, I recommend starting your vision board on Pinterest. This is my favorite part of the process—dedicated time to dream big and let my imagination run wild!

  • 1st – Create a private Pinterest board: I have a main “Vision Board” board with a new section for each year.
  • Next – Pin images that resonate: Look for visuals that represent all areas of your life—business, health, relationships, personal growth, and even fun or leisure.
  • Focus on the feeling you want: Manifestation is about aligning with the energy of your desires. For instance, if you want financial freedom, pin images of luxury items, abundant bank accounts, or successful entrepreneurs.
  • Over-pin and then narrow down: I typically start with 100+ pins, then refine it to my absolute favorites—the images that really speak to me.

Printing and Preparing Your Vision Board Images

Once your Pinterest board is complete, it’s time to bring those dreams to life.

  • Download and print your top images: I use high-quality photo paper for a polished look.
  • Cut them out: Take your time cutting each image neatly. This step feels intentional, almost like you’re crafting your future.
  • Organize your layout: Before gluing anything, play around with the arrangement to ensure the layout feels cohesive and inspiring.

Now it’s time to bring those dreams into your planner. This is where the magic happens!

  • Choose the perfect spot: There’s actually a dedicated “vision board” section in the LH Agenda planner — and this is a great place to start! But I actually end up putting images through out the entire planner!
  • Glue down your images: I arrange my images in a way that feels inspiring every time I open your planner. And I like to use little scrapbooking adhesive squares to adhere my images to the page.
  • Add personal touches: I include motivational quotes, handwritten affirmations, and images that really evoke a feeling.

The beauty of incorporating a vision board into your planner is that it’s always with you. Unlike a traditional vision board that hangs on the wall, this one is portable and integrated into your daily life.

Every time I open my planner, I’m greeted by my goals and dreams, which keeps me aligned and inspired. It’s not just about setting goals; it’s about maintaining the mindset and energy to achieve them.

Step 2: Turn Dreams Into Plans with the Best Planner for Life Coaches

Once I’ve completed my vision board, I dive into the “Dream” section of my LH Agenda planner. For me, this is where the magic happens.

As a life coach and entrepreneur, I know how important it is to stay connected to my big picture.

The “Dream” section is where I define what matters most to me—both in my business and personal life. This reflective space is like a reset button for my priorities, helping me clarify my values and set a strong foundation for the year ahead.I use this section to map out everything from my ideal day to my guiding word for the year.

It’s not just a planning exercise—it’s a chance to reconnect with my purpose and actually make sure that I’m living my vision.

One of the first things I do in this section is reflect on what truly matters in my life. I love how this planner walks you through the whole system with simple questions and prompts that really get you thinking.

Another part of the planner that I love is the life review section. I get to think about where I am now versus where I want to be. This exercise helps me identify areas for growth and gives me a clear sense of direction.

For example, this year, my focus is on scaling my business, spending more quality time with my family, and prioritizing my health.

Then comes my favorite part—choosing a theme word for the year. Do you have a theme word for this next year? I’d love to know what it is! Either drop it below in the comments if you’re watching this episode on YouTube, or you can DM me over on Instagram!

Any guess what my word for the year is?

When I started working on this episode I realized I hadn’t thought about my new word yet—and then it hit me like a ton of bricks: SUPERBLOOM!

Obviously my word is superbloom for my superbloom year!

Okay, now I’m going to share the part of the “Dream” section that has had the biggest impact on my business and my life…

Designing My Ideal Day

There is a page in the Dream section of the LH Agenda planner titled, “Ideal Day.” And I feel like when I first saw this, in my first planner, years ago… I probably just skipped over it.

But this one page has actually had one of the biggest impacts on my business and life.

Every year, I write out exactly what my perfect day would look like, from the moment I wake up to the second my head hits the pillow.

I include every detail—what my house looks like, what I’m working on, who I’m interacting with, and even what I’m eating! This helps me visualize what success feels like on a daily basis.

Instead of writing this directly in my planner, I actually type it up and print it out in a tiny font so it fits neatly on the page. I also include some of my favorite vision board images around the words. Especially pics that represent what I’m mentioning for my “ideal day.”

Then I read through my ideal day page every single morning as a part of my morning routine. This exercise has had such a profound impact on the trajectory of my life. Over the years, it’s been amazing to look back and see how much of my “ideal day” has become my real day.

For example, there was a time I was talking about having healthy dinners made for myself and my family—and now we have our own personal chef!

There are a lot more pieces to the Dream section of the planner, but these are just a few of my favorites! I definitely encourage you to check it out if you’re ready to make your dreams a reality.

Step 3: Define Your Goals with the Best Planner for Life Coaches

After dreaming big and setting your vision, it’s time to get specific and break those dreams into actionable goals.

The “Define” section of my planner is where I take my big-picture aspirations and turn them into a step-by-step roadmap for the year ahead.

This is the part of the process that transforms my dreams into plans I can execute.

The “Define” section helps me prioritize what matters most. LH Agenda has me start by choosing my top three goals for the year.

Narrowing it down to just three keeps me focused on what will truly move the needle for my business and life. For example, one of my goals this year is to hit $1 million in revenue, and this section is where I start outlining the action steps to make that happen.

I just love how this section prompts me to break each big goal into smaller, manageable steps. It’s not just about writing down lofty ambitions—it’s about creating a realistic plan to achieve them.

One of my favorite features of this planner is how it guides me to think about my goals in smaller, more manageable chunks.

Here’s how the planner breaks it down:

  1. Annual
  2. Quarterly
  3. Monthly

Ideally you’re working on the same goal but in smaller increments. For example, if my goal is to make $1Million in a year, my quarterly goal would be $250K, and my monthly goal would be about $83K.

This process gives me clarity and keeps me from feeling overwhelmed by the size of my annual goals. It’s amazing how much progress you can make when you consistently chip away at smaller tasks and goals.

For life coaches and female entrepreneurs, staying organized is essential for success. The “Define” section helps you avoid shiny object syndrome by keeping you focused on what matters most. Instead of chasing every idea, you’re creating a clear plan to achieve your top priorities.

For me, this section is a game-changer because it gives me a clear roadmap. Whether it’s growing my business, focusing on my health and fitness, or carving out more time for family, I know exactly what I need to do to make it happen.

There’s something so empowering about turning dreams into tangible steps. Every time I open my planner and see my goals broken down into smaller actions, it reminds me that big success comes from consistent, small efforts. The Define section of my LH Agenda planner keeps me grounded and focused, no matter how busy life gets.

With my goals defined and my plan in place, I’m ready to take action and make this my best year yet. Which leads me to step 4—putting this plan into motion in the “Do” section!

Step 4: Take Action with the Best Planner for Life Coaches

Now that your goals are clearly defined, it’s time to bring them to life.

The “Do” section of my planner is where everything comes together. This is where I translate my dreams and plans into consistent, actionable steps—day by day, week by week. For me, this is the heart of my planner setup and the key to achieving my biggest goals.

How I Use the “Do” Section to Stay on Track

The “Do” section is my action hub. This part of the planner helps me break down my annual and quarterly goals into manageable weekly tasks. It’s probably what you think of when you think of a weekly planner—with space for each day and your week at a glance.

Each week, I set specific objectives that align with my larger vision, ensuring that every step I take moves me closer to achieving my dreams.

Here’s how I use it:

  1. Quarterly Planning: I revisit my quarterly goals and identify what needs to be done in the upcoming weeks.
  2. Weekly Priorities: I plan my entire week out ahead of time to ensure that I’m working on the task that will move me towards my goals—instead of just reacting to a never ending to-do list and full inbox!
  3. Daily Actions: For the week ahead, I plan my daily tasks, making sure they’re realistic and actionable. This ensures that I’m making steady progress without overwhelming myself.

Life coaches and female entrepreneurs often juggle multiple roles and responsibilities—for example, along with your actual skill set you’re probably busy managing your inbox, building your website, doing content marketing, bookkeeping and accounting, and basically all of the things.

If you’re not careful the “all of the things” will take over and keep you from accomplishing your goals. The “Do” section helps streamline your focus, so you’re not spinning your wheels on tasks that don’t move the needle. Instead, you’re working with intention and clarity.

For me, this section is invaluable because it helps me stay disciplined. I’m not just setting goals; I’m actively working on them every day. It’s the difference between dreaming about success and actually achieving it.

One of the things I love most about this section is how it helps me track my progress. Each week, I reflect on what I’ve accomplished and identify areas for improvement. And every month there is an in-depth review so you can see just how far you’ve come! This not only keeps me motivated but also helps me adjust my plan if needed.

I also use this section to celebrate wins, big or small. Whether it’s completing a major project or simply sticking to my daily routine, acknowledging progress keeps me energized and focused.

The “Do” section is where your vision, dreams, and plans become a reality. By breaking down your goals into actionable steps and consistently working on them, you’ll create incredible momentum. This process has been transformational for me, and it’s why I believe—hands down—this is the best planner for life coaches and female entrepreneurs.
