Business Portraits // Mandy Straight
Mandy and I have known each other for a long time. We met during my freshman year at UNC, so we go back (waaaay back). We’ve been witness to each other’s evolution from quirky and creative college girls (I was majoring in dance and she in French) to experienced artists and entrepreneurs. This BossLady is a tenured interior designer who has been making her mark in Denver for years and recently launched her own design and lifestyle company – Mandy Straight, Inc.
One of my greatest passions is working with other entrepreneurs to develop their branding and marketing. I was beyond thrilled when Mandy approached me to create her logo and brand system (more on that later…) and photograph her new business headshots. As you can probably tell, Mandy is an incredibly stylish individual, so I knew we needed to let her personal style shine in these images.
Having known Mandy for so long, I developed her branding to reflect what I see when I think of her unique style. What I landed on was equal parts Sex & The City, Parisian Chic, and 70s Style Maven. I first developed her branding around these ideas and then we styled the photo shoot to coordinate with her branding (including the color palette). I am thrilled with how this shoot turned out and the way the photography captures my gorgeous and talented friend’s personality and brand essence.
