Fort Collins Senior Portraits // Nash

When I first started my photography business in 2008 I was eager to photograph any type of session or event that came along. There were many family portraits, head shots, senior portraits, babies and children, and of course, weddings. At the end of 2010, I decided to specialize in the thing I was most passionate about – weddings. Since then I have focused my business on couples, shooting almost exclusively weddings, engagement sessions and wedding editorials.
It is rare that I shoot portrait sessions anymore. In fact, many times I will refer inquiries to other photographers. When I do take on portrait clients it is because I know that they are looking for images that are in alignment with what I offer my wedding clients – modern and artistic.
When Jennifer messaged me about senior portraits for her two kids, Sydney and Nash, I jumped at the opportunity. I met Jennifer years ago when she owned her own floral design studio in Northern Colorado. We worked together on several weddings/shoots and I was always inspired by her remarkable talent. Jennifer has since changed careers (and I certainly miss her as a fellow wedding vendor) but I knew that with her background in both floral and interior design she would style this session to perfection!
Today I am sharing Nash’s dashing senior portraits from Old Town Fort Collins. This guy had great style and really knew how to “work it” for my camera. I was a little nervous about shooting the session since I don’t have much experience with posing senior boys. However, Nash and I had a lot of fun experimenting with poses and he even came up with some great ideas of his own. I think he has a future in modeling! Nash’s beautiful sister, Sydney, makes an appearance in a few of his photos – check back tomorrow for a post about her session.
