You know you’re meant to be a coach… but if we’re being honest, you don’t always feel like one.
Maybe you’re asking yourself:
If any of that sounds familiar, you are NOT alone. Almost every coach struggles with confidence in the beginning. But here’s the good news—confidence isn’t something you’re born with—it’s something you build.
And in today’s episode, I’m giving you three simple ways to feel confident as a coach—even if you’re brand new.

Confidence isn’t just nice to have—it’s essential to your success as a coach.
Because here’s the truth: If YOU don’t believe in your coaching, how can you expect anyone else to?
But confidence isn’t about knowing everything. It’s about trusting that you can show up, serve your clients, and help them get results.
And I know from experience—when I first started coaching, I had all the same fears.
But these three things helped me build my confidence fast, and they’ll do the same for you.
Most new coaches struggle with confidence because they’re too focused on themselves.
But here’s the thing—coaching isn’t about you. It’s about your clients.
The moment you shift your focus to them and how you can serve, your confidence grows instantly.
Instead of worrying about how you look as a coach, ask yourself:
When you make your coaching about your clients’ transformation instead of your fears, everything shifts.
Confidence doesn’t come from reading books about coaching. It doesn’t come from certifications.
Confidence comes from DOING.
The more you coach, the more comfortable and confident you’ll feel—it’s that simple.
So if you’re feeling unsure, here’s what I want you to do: start coaching.
The act of coaching is what builds confidence—not waiting until you feel ready.
One of the biggest reasons new coaches feel unconfident? They don’t have a clear process for coaching.
They show up to sessions unsure of what to do, which makes them feel uncertain.
But when you have a structured framework—or even a simple outline of how you help your clients—you feel way more confident.
This is exactly why I help my clients create coaching offers that feel solid—so they know exactly what they’re delivering to their clients and never feel like they’re “winging it.”
And when you believe in the process you’re taking your clients through, that confidence comes across in every single session.
As coaches we know that our thoughts create our feelings—so if you want to feel confident, it starts with the thoughts you choose to believe.
Instead of thinking:
Try shifting to thoughts like:
Confidence isn’t something that magically appears—it’s built one thought at a time.
So choose the thoughts that serve you, take action, and trust that confidence will grow with you.
BTW, I’d love to know which thought you’re going to use before your next coaching session or discovery call—if you’re watching this on YouTube let me know in the comments—or DM me over on Instagram!
Now that you know how to feel confident as a coach, let’s talk about something super important—naming your coaching business.
Because let’s be real—choosing a business name can feel overwhelming. Should it be your name? Should it be something catchy? Does it even matter?
In tomorrow’s episode, I’m breaking down how to name your coaching business the right way—so you can stop overthinking and start building your brand.
