My wedding is in one month. ONE MONTH. Oh my goodness, where has the time gone? Where did summer go? I can hardly believe that I’ve been working through “to-do” lists on the far side of the September tab of my Day-Planner for the last three days. This next month will be such a blur – not unlike the last few. So before I dive deeper into wedding planning I thought I’d share a new Life Update via my Instagram account.
one. | We spent our last few weeks in California visiting (and re-visiting our favorite) vineyards. I will miss afternoons spent on the covered porches of wineries, comparing tasting notes with good friends.
two. | I collaborated with some amazingly talented and sweet friends on a Santa Barbara-inspired wedding editorial photo shoot, only days before we moved. It was a thrilling and inspired project, one of my favorites to date. I will be sharing the images soon.
three. | Along with my mom, dad, puppy, and a very tightly packed car, I made the trek back to Colorado. Matthew followed a day later.
four. | Five days after returning to Colorado I hopped on a plane to North Carolina for this year’s Kerr Family Reunion. I am a Kerr on my Mother’s side and this is a thing we do. Regularly. | You can read about last year’s reunion here.| Although weary from traveling and being displaced for weeks, the sun, the sand and lots of cousin-time soothed my soul. (Sidenote: How fabulous are this year’s shirts, designed by my brother? Yes, we do shirts. #kerrfamilyreunion)
five. | Once back in Colorado, Matthew and I made a trip to Goldworks where we cast my wedding band. Just like my engagement ring, the band was custom designed. It was so amazing (and so much more meaningful) to be involved in the creation of my ring. | You can read about my engagement ring here. | You can read more about Goldworks here.
six. | My wedding invitations. I am so very proud of this personal project. Sometimes personal projects are the hardest for me. I really tend to over think them. And I did with this as well. However, when I opened the box from WHCC, full of the wedding stationery suite I had designed, I saw my vision come together perfectly.
seven. | My best friend and her beau committed their lives to one another in a beautiful private ceremony in the Colorado Mountains. I was blessed to be witness to and document this event.
eight. | Matthew and I bought a house. Our first house. And now we are finally home.
