At the end of June my boyfriend, Matt, and I took a trip to southern California.  We were visiting for our friends’ wedding in Laguna Beach (I actually got to be a wedding guest this time) and decided to spend five days road-tripping in a red BMW z4 from Los Angeles through wine country and back.  It was a much needed respite and quite an unforgettable experience for the both of us.

While in Santa Barbara Matt took me to one of his favorite sites, the Old Mission.  I was immediately captivated by the rustic antiquity and elegance surrounding us.  From landscaping, to art and architecture, every turn of a corner held new treasures.  I was so glad that I decided to bring my Nikon with me.  However, this was one of the only times I pulled it out during the trip, as I relied on my iphone to instagram the rest of our vacation. If you visit Santa Barbara I highly recommend stopping by the Old Mission… and bring your camera.
