Project Rebrand || Website Refresh

Website Refresh | Website design by Moriah Riona

Earlier this year I announced Project Rebrand, my own personal project to update my branding. Instead of one grand reveal, I decided to share the process with you and release new brand pieces as they were created. I’ve since shared my new Logo + Identity Collection as well as my new Brand Portraits.

The next major phase of the project was supposed to be a website redesign but since I have a Showit website, I had been holding off on this part. Months ago, Showit announced that they were actually revamping their software to an all new, very exciting Showit5. I got a little sneak peek at the new software during the gala at Showit United, that I attended just a few weeks ago (oh my goodness – it’s going to be amazing!!). While I am super excited for all that Showit5 has in store, I decided that I just couldn’t wait any longer to update my website… at least a little.

While I still plan on starting a full website redesign as soon as I have access to Showit5, I gave my current website a “refresh” to make it match the rest of my new branding. Honestly, it was driving me crazy that all my new work and brand collateral (business cards, etc.) are perfectly in line with my new branding but my website is very out of date with my old logo, color palette, etc. As a graphic designer my website had become a huge source of embarrassment, so I decided to just spend a few hours (yes! Just an afternoon) bringing my current site up to speed.

Sometimes all you need is a little update, instead of a total overhaul. I’m actually surprised how I was able to make “major” changes (brand-wise) with just a few carefully selected modifications. Next week I’m going to share the quick and simple steps I took to give my site this refresh, but for now, hop on over and take a look around – I’d love to know what you think!

xoxo.
